Ram Gopal Varma's latest offering to the silver screen, The Attacks of 26/11, has been making news ever since it was announced. This time round, due to the presence of Nana Patekar, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has demanded police protection for him in lieu of his portrayal of a police officer in the film.

MNS MLA Ram Kadam said that Nana Patekar is not just a brilliant actor, but also an asset to the country. He added that the role played by him in the film maybe disliked by terror organizations, which may lead to a threat to his life. He has demanded police protection to Nana from Satyapal Singh (Mumbai Police Commissioner) and R. R. Patil (State Home Minister).
