Shibani Kashyap is on a high these days. And the reason — the singer has been invited by the Consulate General of India to be a part of the Republic Day celebrations of Mauritius on March 12. Shibani will be the only one representing the Indian music fraternity as she heads there as part of the Indian contingent. Also present at the event will be President Pranab Mukherjee as well as the Mauritian Prime Minister along with head of 16 countries. A source reveals, “Shibani will be touring Mauritius from March 8 to 16. She will represent India with her troupe during the event to showcase Indian music and a crowd of more than 25,000 is expected at the venue (National Stadium). Being a national event, it will also be telecast on national television.” Post this, Shibani will also perform for the delegation on March 16 in a grand reception.
