| | | Imtiaz Ali apparently wants natural and effortless romantic chemistry between the leading actors of his next film, perhaps that’s why he’s said to be thinking of roping inKatrina Kaif opposite Ranbir Kapoor.
Ranbir and Imtiaz famously got along so well during the making of Rockstar that the director has decided to make his next with the star. But there’s been a big question mark as to who the leading lady would be. The question is particularly significant because in Imtiaz’s films, actresses aren’t just cosmetic props or eye candies to be romanced by heroes. They have meaty roles.
Buzz is that Katrina Kaif has already been roped in for the role in Imtiaz’s next, but producer Sajid Nadiadwala says the heroine hasn’t been finalized yet.
If Katrina pairs with Ranbir Kapoor in Imtiaz Ali’s flick, it would be her third with the star. The duo has already worked in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani in 2009 and Raajneeti in 2010.
An interesting fact to note is that of all the films Imtiaz Ali has made so far, only Jab We Met featured a real-life couple romancing on screen. However, that film turned out to be jinxed for the romance of Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor as the two, quite ironically, split during the making of the film.
